Pamela Killean

ISTD Tap & Modern

Not starting to dance until the age of 16, Pamela left a university degree course to change focus and study dance full time. After three years professional training, achieving advanced status in ISTD exams she successfully auditioned for performance work on cruise ships.

She then spent six years travelling the world with various cruise lines performing in large production shows as a featured dancer and as part of pas de duex couples. (Fred Olsen Cruise lines / First Choice holidays / Sun Cruises Asia). Interspersed with production shows on land in both Slovenia and Portugal she gained multiple dance performance experiences including as a Magicians assistant. She then returned to Scotland and performed professionally with the Scottish Claymores dance and cheer squad for two years as a dance captain.

Retiring from performance in 2004, Pamela has dedicated the last seventeen years to teaching dance in various schools and vocational training centres around Central Scotland, in particular she is currently teaching tap and modern at the Dance School of Scotland at Knightswood Academy. She is qualified with the ISTD to DDE level in Tap, Ballet and Modern and committed to ongoing professional development keeping up to date with all the new techniques and changes to the syllabus over the last few years.
