Stuart is based in Glasgow and trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama.

During his time at RSAMD (now Royal Conservatoire Scotland), Stuart studied Music and Education.  In his Honours year, he studied Performance as a Singer and also majored in Arranging & Orchestration.

Stuart immediately began teaching in the Secondary and Primary sectors in East Kilbride just outside Glasgow.   Prior to graduation in 1995, Stuart also incorporated his own Children’s & Youth Theatre Company, Spotlight Youth Theatre.

Stuart co-founded GAMTA (Glasgow Academy Musical Theatre Arts) and then went onto work with The Brit School and Bird College of Theatre & Dance both in London.   Most recently he’s worked with Centrestage in Kilmarnock and also Imagine Theatre.

In 1998, Stuart was nominated and awarded runner up for Glasgow’s City Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Stuart has extensive experience as a Musical Director for Theatre and more recently, as Director on a wide variety of musicals and also panto.
